Her husband Edward was my classmate and best friend at the Nigerian College of Arts Science and Technology, Enugu. We were also contemporaries at the University of Ibadan. We met again in London and Cambridge where he was studying Law. It was during one of those meetings in London that I had the pleasure of acquainting with Helen. She was charming, caring and full of love for her wise-cracking husband. It was my search for Eddy whom I have not seen since 1965 that led me to Helen's obituary. To my greatest sadness I saw that my bossom friend also passed away earlier. May their soul rest in peace.
